Contextualization of the Monongahela River

Contextualization of the Monongahela River

Multi-Disciplinary Studies 489 participated in a project with Headwaters to the Ohio Network this semester. This project combines the past and present of the Monongahela to create a more whole understanding of the river. MDS 489 delved into the history of the Mon and the towns it flows through, as well as gathered data for fecal coliform and E.coli at various points along the river. Though these students come from various disciplines, they worked together to contexualize the Monongahela River and provided a foundation for this project to continue to grow from. Victoria Nist, Lauren Campbell, and Tatum Wamsley, all of the graduating class of 2025, presented their project at the Common Waters Symposium in April.
