Gabrielle Bush, a student at WVWRI and Biology Pre-medical major, combined data from Three Rivers Quest and Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO) to assess changes in TDS trends. She pulled data from four sampling sites along the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers and found that TDS concentrations have been declining in both rivers, though the TDS data from the Monongahela River has greater variability. Next semester, Gabrielle will continue looking at trends in both rivers but will also include data from state programs to assess historic data.
